What this tool does

Adds fillable form fields to a PDF, turning a scanned form or a field-less document into something people can complete on screen.

How to use it

  1. Choose the target PDF.
  2. Specify which page gets the fields.
  3. Describe the field names and initial values as JSON.
  4. Run it, then open the result in a PDF reader and confirm you can type into the fields.

Worked example

Targeting page 1 of a three-page PDF with a field definition returns a PDF with fields on page 1.

Frequently asked questions

How does this differ from the form filler?
This tool creates fields; the filler puts values into fields that already exist. For a document with no fields, start here.
Can I drag fields into place?
No. Positions come from the JSON definition — this is not a visual editor. Complex forms are better served by dedicated software.

What this tool does not cover

Files are processed in your browser. Calculated fields, conditional visibility, and digital signature fields cannot be created.
