What this tool does
Finds the fillable fields in a PDF form, lists them, and fills them in one pass from a JSON object of field names and values. Handy when you complete the same form repeatedly.
How to use it
- Choose the form PDF.
- Run it; the fields in the document appear in a table.
- Using those field names, write a JSON object like {"fieldName":"value"}.
- Run again to get the filled PDF, and verify the values.
Worked example
A plain PDF with no fields returns an empty table. A real form lists its field names, and you must use those exact names as JSON keys.
Frequently asked questions
- The field list is empty.
- That PDF has no form fields — it may be a scan that merely looks like a form. To create fields, use the PDF form builder tool.
- How do I learn the JSON keys?
- Run it with just the file first; the table shows the real field names. Copy them exactly — mismatched names are ignored.
What this tool does not cover
Checkboxes and radio buttons only respond to the exact value strings the form expects. Digital signature fields are not filled.
