What this tool does
Converts between a JSON array and TSV. Object keys become column names and each object becomes a row.
How to use it
- Paste the data.
- Choose the direction.
- Run it and check the column names and row count.
Worked example
Converting [{"name":"Ada","value":42}] to TSV gives a tab-separated header row of name and value plus one data row.
Frequently asked questions
- What if objects have different keys?
- The column set varies, so you may get blanks or missing columns. Normalising the keys before converting is safer.
- How do I paste into a spreadsheet?
- Copy the TSV output and paste into a cell; it splits into columns on tabs, which suits this better than CSV.
What this tool does not cover
Input is processed in your browser. Nested objects cannot be fully represented in a flat table.
