What this tool does

Converts between JSON and TOML. TOML is a configuration format that writes keys, values, and tables in a human-readable layout.

How to use it

  1. Paste the data.
  2. Choose the direction.
  3. Run it and check that nesting became the right table headers.

Worked example

Converting {"name":"Murphkitsch","count":3} to TOML gives two key = value lines for name and count.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to null?
TOML has no null. JSON containing null may fail to convert or drop the key, so remove it or replace it with an empty string first.
Does deep nesting work?
It becomes tables and arrays of tables, but deep nesting is hard to read in TOML, so flattening the structure is usually better.
