What this tool does
Generates a BIMI DNS record or checks the syntax of an existing one. BIMI publishes the location of a logo SVG and a verification certificate in DNS so authenticated mail can show a sender logo.
How to use it
- Choose the mode: generate to build a record, check to validate syntax.
- Enter the domain and selector.
- Enter the logo SVG URL and the certificate (VMC) URL.
- Run it to get the record string or the validation result.
Worked example
Domain example.com with selector default in generate mode produces the TXT value to publish at default._bimi.example.com.
Frequently asked questions
- I published the record but no logo appears.
- BIMI requires DMARC at an enforcing policy (quarantine or reject), and each mailbox provider adds its own requirements. The logo SVG profile and certificate validity must also check out.
- Is a certificate required?
- Major mailbox providers require a Verified Mark Certificate. Obtaining one is a paid process that presupposes a registered trademark.
What this tool does not cover
It generates and syntax-checks the record only. It does not verify certificate validity, SVG profile compliance, or that a mailbox will actually display the logo.
